Libby digital online library provides books and audiobooks to borrow for free.
Typically before I buy a book on Amazon I check and see if I can’t get it on Libby first. I usually don’t read books more than one time anyway. There are exceptions, but I typically don’t need the book after I have read it. Plus, if I read and love it I can still buy it later. If I don’t like it… good thing I didn’t buy it.
If you have an active library card you may be able to get free books also.

Use your library card to sign up.
- Download the Libby app
- Find your library
- Sign in using the number on your library card
- Start searching for Books! 📚
Options for reading Ebooks
- Read in the Libby app.
- Read with Kindle. You can send a book to your Kindle account. You can then read on any of the Kindle apps or the Kindle E-reader.

How to listen to audiobooks.
Once you check out a book in the app, you can immediately listen to that book within the app. There is also the option to download the book for listening on the go.

Checking books out.
The Libby app works very similar to the library itself, but with no late fees. This is because once your loan has ended (usually 21 days) it will be removed from your device. Although it does give you the option to renew the loan. I just use the deadline to motivate me to finish the book in the time allotted.

Book Selection.
I find the book Selection very well curated. You won’t find everything your looking for, but remember it’s free. Usually, the books are more popular books. It’s not like Netflix where they just add a ton of content that you have to sift through to find something decent.

If you are interested checkout Libby in your app store and read (or listen to) books for free.
