Rocketbook Review

I have been using a Rocketbook for a while now I and I really enjoy it. It has far surpassed my expectations, but it does have a few issues that someone should know about before purchasing one.

What is a Rocketbook?

Rocketbook is a reusable notebook with lots of extra tech features. For me, it is a bridge between technology and old-fashioned note-taking. Not to mention the environmental impact by not using so much paper.

How Does it Work?

The pages of the notebook are a durable material (plastic). You use certain erasable pens and high liters to write with. When you are ready to erase simply wipe with a wet cloth.

I was very impressed with how well writing erased from the pages. It’s as easy as erasing a dry erase board, but without all the mess.

What Pens and Highlighters to use?

You will have to use Frixion pens and highlighters. These can be found online or at most office supply stores. I have been using them for years. On their own, they are erasable on paper, but with this notebook, they excel.

What does the app do?

With the Rocketbook app, you can scan the notebook and it will send it to one of the predetermined destinations that you set up. While scanning, the app recognizes the page borders, therefore only the page is scanned.

How to send to destinations.

You can set up 7 destinations in the app. These range from emails adresses, Evernote, Microsoft Note, Google Drive, etc.

On the notebook page, you mark an X over the destination image. When you scan the image it will send it to the destination set up for that image.

##File Name##

Also, if you put double hashtags at the beginning and end of your title it will save it as the file name.

Handwriting Recognition

You can set the app to translate handwriting into a text file. This is helpful if you are taking notes that you may need to email or use later.

Problems with Rocketbook.

One, it can take a while for the ink to dry on the pages. It can be easy to get smudges if you are not mindful of this. If you close the page too soon it will also smudge.

Second, if you wipe the pages clean you have to give them a minute to dry. If you close them too soon they won’t dry.

Conclusion

All in all, I like the Rocketbook. The benefits far outweigh the negatives. I like having one notebook that I can use for everything. Having all my notes backed up is super nice, also.
